A miniature work of art, the Champlevé Enamel Horse Band Pendant captures the beauty, strength, and spirit of the horse in exceptional detail. Crafted in 18K gold and weighing approximately 3.5 grams, the pendant features a hand-painted and enameled horse image created using Photographic Champlevé, also known as photo-enameling.
Through this sophisticated process, a photographic image is etched into the metal, carefully detailed by hand, filled with vitreous enamel, and fired at temperatures between 750°C and 900°C. The enamel creates the luminous base of the pendant, while the horse image is embedded within the surface, resulting in a richly layered, painterly effect with remarkable depth and precision.
